Paralegal - Litigation & Business: Salem, ORAbout the Opportunity
LHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support its Litigation and General Business practice groups in Salem, OR. This is a collaborative role working closely with attorneys and clients across a variety of matters, including litigation, business transactions, contracts, and real estate.
The firm fosters a supportive, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on client service-no formal billable hour requirement. Performance is recognized through spot bonuses, which can add up to significant additional earnings over time.
Work Environment
- Primarily onsite in Salem, OR; up to 2 remote days/week available
- Casual, collaborative office culture (jeans permitted except for client-facing days)
- Paralegals typically support 2 attorneys
- Upcoming office expansion in early 2027
- Draft, review, and format pleadings, contracts, correspondence, and legal documents
- Prepare and file court documents, including state and federal e-filings
- Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars to ensure efficient workflow
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
- Assist with discovery, document organization, and production
- Support attorneys with hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, and closings
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality client service
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Experience in litigation, business law, or transactional work preferred (flexible on background)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management tools
- Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent experience is a plus
- Someone who is curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with multiple personalities and teams
- A team player who values collaboration and client service
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience: $34 - $40+ per hour depending on experience
