Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced residential Real Estate Attorney with over ten years of legal practice to join our dedicated team on a per project basis. Ideally this attorney will have experience representing buyers of residential condominiums at the preconstruction stage but we will consider training the right person. Most work will be done remotely after training. Client meetings are handled through Teams and Zoom. The position works well for someone who wants to work part time but has significant residential real estate with high net worth buyers or is growing their practice.
Responsibilities
Meet with clients via Zoom or Teams to discuss legal representation for contract phase of pre-construction purchase
Frequent communication with realtors on transactions
Review pre-construction contracts and prospectus including condo documents
Meet with clients via Zoom or Teams to review purchase contract and condo docs.
Draft, review, and negotiate amendment to purchase contract
Review contract package when ready for clients to electronically sign
Calendar rescission period
Follow up on fully executed contract package and escrow letter
Review proposed closing documents at closing stage of pre-construction condo purchase and compare to executed contract
Negotiate any changes to closing documents
Collaborate with realtor to get inspector in place for walk through inspection
Assist with loan related matters for pre-construction purchase
Obtain information for trusts and entities as required by closing agent and for FinCen compliance, if applicable
Set up closing documents for electronic signing
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in Florida
Over ten years of experience practicing residential real estate law
Professional appearance and sophistication for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients
Proven expertise in contract drafting and legal negotiation
Excellent writing skills; effective client communication abilities
Flexible schedule
Pay will be on a per project basis.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in Florida
Over ten years of experience practicing residential real estate law
Professional appearance and sophistication for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients
Proven expertise in contract drafting and legal negotiation
Excellent writing skills; effective client communication abilities
Initial couple of projects I would like someone in person but thereafter all should be able to be done remotely.
